In a major step towards digital facilitation for students, the Online College Admission System (OCAS) has now been integrated with PayZen, a secure and transparent payment channel developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
What is PayZen?
PayZen is a web-based platform developed by PITB aimed at digitizing collection processes across Punjab. With this new integration, students applying for college admissions via OCAS will no longer need to stand in long bank queues to pay their application or admission fees.
Multiple Payment Options Now Available
The integration of PayZen means students and parents can now easily process their admission fees through a wide variety of channels:
- Mobile Banking Apps
- Internet Banking
- ATMs
- Debit and Credit Cards
- TCS Offices
- Branchless Banking Operators (EasyPaisa, JazzCash, etc.)
"While PITB powered OCAS allows students to apply for admissions in colleges from across Punjab, PayZen will enable them to pay from multiple online payment channels in a secure, transparent, and user-friendly manner."
How it Works
When applying for admission in an Intermediate or Bachelors Degree program across Punjab via the OCAS portal, students will be generated a PSID. Using this PSID or a generated QR code, the fee can be instantly paid using any banking application.
This initiative by the Government of Punjab and PITB is a welcome relief for thousands of students, ensuring the college admission process is seamless, fast, and entirely digital.
